Game guide
Pacman
Your goal
Eat every dot in the maze while avoiding ghosts. Clear all 30 levels before losing your three starting lives.
How to play
- Choose a direction and Pacman keeps moving until a wall stops him. You can request the next turn before reaching the junction.
- Small dots give 10 points; large power pellets give 50 and temporarily frighten ghosts. Frightened ghosts can be eaten instead of harming you.
- Eating several ghosts during one power pellet awards 200, 400, 800 and 1600 points in sequence. Returning eyes are not a fresh target; watch for ghosts becoming dangerous again.
- Use the maze's side tunnel to change sides. Clear every remaining dot and pellet to move to the next level.
Controls
Computer
Use arrows or WASD to steer. Enter or P starts or pauses. A chosen direction remains active, so you do not need to press a key for every cell.
Phone or tablet
Swipe in the desired direction anywhere on the field. The turn happens when that route is possible. Tap the field to pause and use the play control to resume.
Progress and the end of a game
- Touching a dangerous ghost costs a life. Every 10,000 points earns an extra life. A lost life does not refill dots you already collected on that level.
- Losing all lives ends the game; clearing level 30 wins. Ghosts become harder to avoid as the run progresses, and power-pellet protection is temporary.
Useful tips
- Clear awkward dead ends while the nearest ghosts are far away. Keep a power pellet available near a difficult area if possible.
- Use a pellet to escape first, then decide whether chasing a ghost is safe. Flashing frightened ghosts warn that the effect is nearly over.
