Your goal

Arrange falling pieces into complete horizontal rows. Keep the stack low and clear as many lines as possible on the 18×30 field.

How to play

  • Start with Enter or the play button. One piece falls at a time; the next-piece preview lets you plan ahead.
  • Move and rotate the active piece before it lands. Once it can no longer fall, it becomes part of the stack and the next piece appears.
  • A row clears only when every cell in it is filled. Blocks above cleared rows fall down; several rows can clear together.
  • Enable the landing hint to see where the active piece would come to rest. The hint does not place the piece for you.

Controls

Computer

Left/right arrows or A/D move sideways; Down or S moves down. Up or W and Space rotate in opposite directions. Enter starts or pauses. Numeric keys 4, 6, 2, 8 and 5 provide the same actions.

Phone or tablet

Use the large left and right side buttons; hold them to keep moving. The bottom buttons rotate in either direction and drop the piece to the bottom. Tap the field to start or pause.

Progress and the end of a game

  • Clearing lines earns points; clearing adjacent lines together gives a bonus. Speed increases with score, and you can also adjust it manually.
  • There is no fixed finishing level. The game ends when a newly appearing piece is blocked by the stack. A new game clears the field and current score.

Useful tips

  • Build a fairly even surface and avoid covering empty pockets. A hidden gap can require several pieces to repair.
  • Look at the next piece before committing the current one. Use a slower speed and the landing hint while learning rotations.
